The Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District reported a clean fiscal audit for fiscal year 2024–25 and adopted its consent calendar during the Feb. 26 meeting.
Megan Shepard, director of administrative services, told the board that external auditors Richardson & Company issued an unqualified opinion on the annual comprehensive financial report and single audits with no findings or adjustments. Shepard credited controller Patty Keaptainner and the finance team for strong internal controls and said the team is working on the FY26‑27 budget.
The board approved the consent calendar earlier in the meeting. The motion was made, seconded and the chair called for a voice vote; the chair recorded adoption with no objections or abstentions noted on the record.
