Later in the meeting Commissioner Holland asked for an update on Friends of Greydale, a 501(c)(3) organization, and requested more detailed financial data for Greydale, including census breakdowns by payer (Medicaid versus short-term/respite residents) so the committee can assess revenue timing and projections. The director said the administration plans to provide a Greydale financial dashboard by the committee's next review of Greydale and agreed to supply quarterly financial data as requested.
Commissioners expressed concern that payer mix affects revenue timing and recommended receiving the data before major budget decisions. No formal vote to accept the donations was recorded at the committee meeting; staff said they would present donations to the council for formal approval.
Members also raised several operational requests: a report on Friends of Greydale's intended role and any county coordination, and a possible tour of DHS facilities for committee members. Director-level staff offered to coordinate a future presentation by the county executive or relevant Friends of Greydale representatives once plans are clearer.
The meeting closed with staff promising follow-up: attendance and census numbers for senior centers and Greydale, Rise van assessment counts, and a financial dashboard for Greydale.
