Douglas County board sends draft capital improvements element impact fee study for regional and state review

During a required public hearing on March 3, Allison Duncan told the Douglas County Board of Commissioners that the county is taking a procedural step to send the draft capital improvements element impact fee study to the Atlanta Regional Commission and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for review.
Duncan said the action is a formality in the impact fee process and that no further action was needed at this meeting. She said staff anticipates returning with a draft impact fee ordinance for public hearing in April and May after the regional and state review is complete. There were no public comments during the hearing.
The board unanimously approved the request to send the draft for review (5–0). Staff will return to the board with proposed ordinance language and any comments received from the regional and state agencies.
