Council members unanimously passed a resolution approving the settlement of claims by Mariana Telis and then approved a resolution authorizing the issuance of a quitclaim deed transferring city title to Parker Point Community Development District. City staff presented both items and Mayor presided. The council opened public hearings on each item; no members of the public spoke on either matter.
Mr. Pearl, who presented both resolutions to the council, described the settlement and the form of the quitclaim deed and said the deeds and related documents would be executed by the city manager once the council approved them. Judy Waldman, introduced to the chamber as a longtime councilwoman and a registered lobbyist with Coulter, made brief remarks thanking staff for their work on the second item but offered no objections.
Both measures were adopted by roll-call vote with every council member recorded in favor. The meeting then concluded the special session and moved to a Community Redevelopment Agency meeting.
The resolutions set implementation steps but do not themselves disclose settlement amounts or the specific purchase terms of the quitclaim deed; the council packet and subsequent city documents will contain those details when formalized.
