Brian Tingley presented a new property-opportunities website the city developed with the county and the Downtown Development Authority to market downtown Mount Clemens properties.
The GIS-based site, presented as www.thinkmtc.com, includes an interactive map of available properties, drive-time demographic analyses, a photo gallery and links to economic-development resources, Tingley said. He described the site as useful for out-of-area developers and site selectors and said the city and DDA paid $2,700 for a one-year arrangement that could be expanded citywide with a future maintenance agreement.
"We purchased our own domain and that is thinkmtc.com," Tingley said while demonstrating property sheets and broker links. Commissioners praised the design and the site's utility and staff said they would discuss a longer-term agreement to expand and maintain the resource.
No formal vote was required for the demonstration; staff noted that future agreements for expansion or continued maintenance would come back to the commission.
