The Laredo commission approved a revision to the Aketto subdivision master plan and granted a variance increasing the maximum dead-end street length from 500 feet to approximately 650 feet under section 3-2J of the subdivision ordinance. Staff recommended approval and the applicant's engineering representative (Wayne Nort) told the commission the proposal addressed staff comments; the motion to approve passed by voice vote.
Commissioners then considered several preliminary plats. The commission approved preliminary consideration of the Plat of Lot One, George A. and Batrice A. Flores subdivision (intent: multifamily), with the applicant's engineer Francisco Ramos confirming staff comments were addressed and noting a zone change would be required separately. The commission approved another preliminary plat for Lot B-8 (Tangitos partnership) in the extraterritorial jurisdiction after the applicant's representative said comments had been resolved.
The commission heard three final plats and replats together (Gonzalez Gonzalez plat; a three-plat reconfiguration in Block 8; and the Los Presidente subdivision phase 5) and voted to approve them as presented. Staff reported there were no additional staff comments at the meeting. Motions to approve passed by voice vote for each item.
