Monrovia Reads launches citywide reading program; board recognizes student artists and athletes

Janet Wall, representing Monrovia Reads (One City, One Story), described a citywide reading initiative running Jan. 24–Mar. 28 with age‑appropriate titles and weekend reading gatherings across city parks. Staff said elementary copies will be provided to schools and library copies will be available while supplies last. The program’s stated goals are to promote literacy and foster neighbor‑to‑neighbor connections through shared reading events.
