Monrovia Unified says Brad Oaks modernization complete; Wild Rose and Plymouth projects move forward

Consultants from Dixon and Associates identified a potential cost savings of roughly $30,000–$35,000 by separating civil engineering, surveying and underground utility contracts; the board approved related professional service agreements for utility locating, topographic and civil engineering work for Wild Rose (contract amounts as presented: $11,875 for utility locating; $14,550 for topographic/boundary survey; $39,800 for civil engineering services).
Board members praised the facilities team for finishing Brad Oaks ahead of the previously projected schedule and for promptly addressing a December cafeteria flood. Staff said the district continues to coordinate ADA, accessibility, and closeout tasks and will bring further project updates as modernization work proceeds.
What happens next: Staff will proceed with the contracted pre‑design and surveying work for Wild Rose, finalize bids and report back on schedule and budget milestones at future board meetings.
