Manteno board approves youth soccer lease and authorizes $471,245.48 in bills

The payment package listed itemized amounts the board discussed during reports: $158,000 for the pavilion project on the square, $61,000 for garbage fees, $45,000 for a storm sewer project, $71,000 listed as a sales tax rebate payment, and other line items that together totaled $471,245.48. The finance committee noted TIF number three carried a $0 balance in this authorization.
Trustee Berry summarized the finance committee record and announced the committee will meet March 16 at 5:00 p.m. in the village board room. Trustee Boudreau and other trustees confirmed the board will continue planning work on the square—contractor crews have started turf removal in the pavilion area and a design change order for the center area is being finalized.
The motions were routine in form and recorded as approved. The board did not record a roll-call vote for every member; votes were taken and entered as shown in the meeting record.
The board closed the meeting following comments recognizing local youth sports and volunteer leaders that support Manteno's recreational programs. The meeting was adjourned on a motion by Bon and seconded by Trustee Boudreau.
