The administration also proposed removing the Environmental Sustainability Project Lead The Way course because enrollment and certified-teacher availability were low.
Other recommended changes include combining two half‑credit world‑language sections into one full credit for simpler scheduling and converting the sports‑performance two one‑credit model into multiple half‑credit sections to give students scheduling flexibility. Board members asked about parent communications, teacher certification for new courses and whether student athletes could obtain PE credit; administrators said they would gather additional details and return with staffing and enrollment implications.
Next steps: staff will present finalized program‑of‑studies language after gathering student, parent and teacher feedback and will proceed with course selection in February that will drive master scheduling for the next school year.
