Knox County board adopts FY2024–25 budget and tax levy after line‑item adjustments

The Knox County Board approved amendments to the county’s fiscal year 2024–25 budget and adopted the tax levy at its Nov. 25 public meeting in Gillsburg.

Finance staff reviewed a series of line‑item changes—some recorded as $1 placeholders for new program lines—covering items such as an education incentive program, sheriff grant revenues and expenditures (including a STEP grant and retail crime grant), K9 donation accounting, landfill closure and professional services, and several transfers from reserves.
