The meeting’s chair said organizers approved funding adjustments to repair earlier omissions, adding a $50,000 allocation for Nest in Waterberry and restoring the Connecticut Fair Housing Center’s award to $35,000.
“This is totally my fault,” the chair said, apologizing for the delay and explaining the purpose of the short session was to “clean up” missed items from the first meeting of the year. The chair said the Connecticut Fair Housing Center had been cut in the documentation and the group was “making them whole, holding them to what they got last year, nothing more.”
Committee members moved and seconded a motion to raise the two items on the agenda for consideration. Staff confirmed funds were available in the designated fund and that organizers had maintained a small buffer so the fund would not be drawn down below roughly $10,000–$15,000.
Staff later clarified the Connecticut Fair Housing Center’s award would increase from $25,000 (the amount recorded earlier) to $35,000, an incremental $10,000. The chair called for a voice vote; participants signaled approval and the chair announced, “The ayes have it.”
The chair closed the short meeting by thanking attendees for adjusting schedules on short notice and promising that future rounds would be handled more smoothly.
