Director of schools frames budget and student‑support priorities at Sumner County retreat

At a board retreat, Dr. Langford, Sumner County’s director of schools, told trustees that the district’s main budget initiatives this year will focus on capital projects and compensation.

“Main budget initiatives are going to be capital and compensation,” Dr. Langford said, and he noted staff will bring a formal compensation report to the board in January.
