District staff also reviewed other capital commitments: football stadium projects, track renovations, roofing and HVAC needs across several schools, bus purchases and a $1 million contingency reserve to handle emergent needs. Administration noted that projects are staggered to match school-year construction windows and to conserve funds for higher-cost projects such as stadium work and North Sumner Elementary.
Board members asked how booster-club fundraising would interact with district funding and whether turf replacement related to storm damage was included; administrators said some booster funds remain earmarked for equipment and turf work that is separate from the building contract. The amendment and the bid were approved by voice votes; the meeting transcript shows no roll-call tallies recorded.
