The Farmers Branch Historical Park Board voted to approve the minutes from its Aug. 22 meeting and adopted a slate of officers for the upcoming term during a Sept. 26 meeting.
Board members moved and seconded a motion to accept the August minutes "as posted." The motion carried by a voice/hand vote; no roll-call tally was recorded. The board then discussed nominations for chair, vice chair, secretary and liaison. The proposed slate—Melissa as chair, Christian Martinez as vice chair, Jenny as secretary and Teresa as liaison—was presented, moved, seconded and approved by voice/hand vote.
Members clarified which alternates were eligible to vote because two regular members were absent. The board reviewed appointment dates and terms for several members and confirmed voting status for Sharon, Van and others present.
The board recorded the election and said it will reflect the new officer roster in the minutes and roster communications. No other formal motions or roll-call votes were recorded during the approval and election actions.
The board moved on to program and facilities updates following the officer election.
