Clerk/recorder Monahan reported revenues were close to projections with about $28,000 more in vehicle-related fees than expected and recommended opening a specialty-grants fund to properly account for one-time grant receipts.
On the Development Fund policy, councilors discussed whether to hire a grant writer, create a funded community development director position, or fund a local nonprofit (e.g., a community development corporation) to assist with grant seeking and administration. Members asked staff to compile policy materials and job descriptions for review at the next meeting.
