Waters, now presiding, introduced Denise Sandlin as the county's new director of finance, saying she brings municipal experience and has "already made a splash early on with her work ethic and her ability to analyze and understand numbers." Sandlin addressed the committee: "I've enjoyed it so far and I look forward to coming to work every single day," she said, thanking staff for their cooperation.
The committee also reviewed minutes from its Dec. 2, 2025 meeting and proceeded with the business agenda.
The committee adjourned with its next meeting scheduled for June 2, 2026 (time TBD).
