Pinellas Park swears in two new police officers

Pinellas Park welcomed two new police officers during the council meeting. Chief Eisenberg introduced Officer Jason Smith and Bailey Davis and administered the oath of office.
Chief Eisenberg said Jason Smith is a veteran of the United States Air Force who spent time at MacDill Air Force Base with security forces and earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Saint Leo University. Bailey Davis grew up in Pinellas County, attended Boca Ciega High School and earned a bachelor's degree from St. Petersburg College in public safety administration with an emphasis in emergency management and homeland security. Family members joined the officers at the podium for pinning and photographs.
The chief reminded the new officers that "the name on your chest is yours; the name on the shoulder is ours," and welcomed them to the Pinellas Park Police Department. Council and attendees applauded the officers and their families.
