Mr. Graziani described the parcel (tax parcel 857‑m51) as a piece the municipality has maintained in part and said acquiring the land from the Triogg Land Bank would allow the municipality to "connect better the library to the senior center" and enable potential driveway or access work in the future. He said the property had not paid taxes since about 2006 and that the land bank moved it through the transfer process to the municipality.
The solicitor confirmed procedural readiness and that the council will be asked to approve and sign acquisition documents at the council meeting on March 10. "Yes," the solicitor said when asked to confirm the authority to execute documents.
Councilors described the acquisition as completing a missing parcel in a local site “jigsaw puzzle” and noted topography may limit some improvements but that owning the parcel resolves a barrier to future planning. There was no formal vote at the March 3 citizens night; the resolution was placed on the packet for formal action at the March 10 meeting.
