Commission favors front‑entrance and monument signage for Autism Care Therapy; Eagle Ridge Drive sign discouraged
Summary
Attorney Rhett Tober asked to place signs for a new Autism Care Therapy tenant at 1445–1450 Eagle Ridge Drive. Commissioners favored a sign over the tenant’s south/front entrance and placement on the existing monument sign, and discouraged an additional sign facing Eagle Ridge Drive to prevent confusion with an existing chiropractor tenant. Item set for the April 6 meeting.

Attorney Rhett Tober represented a prospective tenant, Autism Care Therapy, and asked the commission to allow signage at a two‑story office building at 1445–1450 Eagle Ridge Drive. Tober said the tenant would occupy the first floor and sought a wall sign above the entrance and a panel on the existing monument sign.
Commissioners expressed concern that a sign facing Eagle Ridge Drive could confuse customers of a long‑established chiropractic tenant whose entrance faces that street. Multiple commissioners indicated consensus that signage should be limited to the tenant’s south/front entrance and the monument sign. "I think the one right over the front door and the monument sign is sufficient," one commissioner said.
The commission noted the item will be taken up at the next public meeting on April 6 for formal consideration.
