Aging Partners asks York County for $39,244 to support services for seniors

Jones highlighted programs not fully captured in the printed figures, including Medicaid-waiver services and state care management that place services in seniors' homes to help them remain in the community rather than enter nursing homes. He noted that Aging Partners currently serves roughly 26% of York County seniors and said the county’s 65-plus population is growing; he projected that within eight years seniors could represent about 32% of York County's population.
The funding request represents about a 2.5% increase from the prior year. Jones said the county could pursue a larger state care-management contract in the future if monitoring and service-delivery capacity improve.
