Highway staff recommended the Murphy Tractor bid. A motion to accept the highway superintendent’s recommendation specified funding from the inheritance tax fund. A roll-call vote passed the motion; one commissioner recorded a “no” vote.
What’s next: The county will finalize purchase paperwork and take delivery per the vendor’s schedule. Commissioners asked county staff to document the payment source (inheritance fund) and to coordinate registration and asset-tracking when the grader arrives.
