Board notes two tax-equalization protest filings; hearings not yet scheduled

York County staff told the Board of Equalization they had received two filings to the Tax Equalization and Review Commission protesting equalization decisions.
"We have received notice of two TERC filings ... both of them were received last week. And I believe they are duplicates," staff said. The clerk added that no hearing dates had been set and that, based on the timing of the filings, it could be early next year before hearings are scheduled.
The board did not set any hearing dates during the meeting; staff said they will work with the county assessor and notify the board when hearings are scheduled.
