Residents press Clayton County for transparency and accountability from the new ethics board

Carol Yansy said she and others requested legislative help to remove the current ethics board chair for alleged unresponsiveness, failure to hold public meetings, and lack of a proposed budget. She said records, agendas and meeting minutes were missing. That exchange became heated and the chair interrupted the speaker to restore order.
No formal board action was taken during the March 3 meeting; the public asked county attorneys and staff to provide records and follow up on complaints.
