The Washington City Council approved multiple routine ordinances on March 2: a temporary site license agreement with New Singular Wireless PCS LLC to allow temporary wireless service at the fairgrounds; an airport aid agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to recover $267,352 related to a 2023–24 hangar project; and a boundary adjustment plat consolidating two lots in the Stubberg subdivision (Plat 2) on Nora and Sixth Street.
On the temporary site license, staff said the agreement is the same short‑term lease the city uses annually to provide improved reception at the fair and that it is not permanent; the council approved the ordinance on second reading.
Staff explained that, during a MODOT audit, the state identified $267,352 that could still be reimbursed to the city for work on a new hangar; because the prior grant was closed out the city must execute a new agreement to receive the money. Council approved the airport aid agreement on second reading.
On the Stubberg boundary adjustment, staff said the applicant owns both lots and plans to consolidate them to build a larger garage; council approved the required ordinance. All three measures passed by voice vote as recorded in the meeting.
