Downtown Cookie Stroll sold out and drew visitors from outside Mason County, organizer says

Amy Cooper of the Shelton Downtown Merchants reported to the Shelton City Council on March 3 that the third annual Cookie Stroll (Dec. 13, 2025) sold out and provided a boost to downtown businesses.
"We sold out our event. We had a goal of selling 150 tickets, which we did," Cooper said, describing the event’s format: 15 downtown locations, 12 local bakers creating 15 cookie varieties, and ticket holders starting at the Shelton Candy Shop to collect cookies and a commemorative ornament. She said roughly 25% of ticket-holders were from outside Mason County, and said restaurants and coffee shops saw increased traffic.
Cooper thanked the council for its support and said the organizers hope to expand to a larger scale next December if demand permits.
