Donations and labor agreement: The council accepted a $500 charitable donation from the Knights of Columbus and ratified a tentative one-year contract extension with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees through June 30, 2028. The donation and contract extension were moved and supported as part of the consent agenda and passed on unanimous roll-call votes.
Nonprofit recognition: Council adopted a resolution recognizing the Rearview Hall of Fame as a nonprofit organization for charitable gaming license purposes, to allow the organization to hold a raffle. Motion by Councilman Ganaga, support by Councilman Webb; vote unanimous.
Equipment purchase: The council authorized the purchase (not rental) of a replacement bulldozer for public works. Motion by Councilwoman Ganaga, support by Councilwoman O'Neal; vote unanimous.
Closed-session action: After a closed session on pending litigation and collective bargaining, the council reconvened and voted to concur with legal counsel’s recommendation in the Disney v. City matter. Councilwoman Ganaga moved the concurrence; Councilwoman Clark supported the motion; the vote was unanimous. The substance of the recommendation was discussed in closed session and not disclosed in the public record.
Adjournment: The council recessed into closed session at 7:22 p.m., reconvened at 8:25 p.m., and adjourned at 8:26 p.m.
