Council members moved, amended and adopted ordinance 9339 after a brief explanation that the changes corrected wording in the civil-fine table, adjusted fine amounts, and extended the allowable days for recreational-vehicle storage in front-yard driveways from 10 days to 14 days.
Miss Elliott moved to amend ordinance 9339 by substitution to correct language in the civil fine table and to implement the fee and storage changes; the motion was seconded. A roll-call vote recorded affirmative responses from the council members listed on the record, and the council then moved to adopt ordinance 9339 as amended. The president declared ordinance 9339 "adopted as amended by substitution."
The council then took two previously tabled ordinances off the table. Ordinance 9340 was moved and adopted by roll call. Ordinance 9341 likewise was taken off the table and adopted following a motion and second. The meeting record shows recorded "yes" responses for those on the dais during each roll call.
Later in the meeting the council moved and seconded a motion to excuse Council Member Odoricio; a voice vote approved the motion. The council then moved to adjourn and ended the session.
The ordinances that were adopted will take effect according to their prescribed enactment language; the transcript does not record effective dates or subsequent administrative steps.
