Kathy Trent asked the Environmental Resource Committee to consider changes to subcommittee assignments after the retirement of former chairman John Frell. Committee members said it would be prudent to wait until new members join the committee before finalizing a reorganization.
As a result, members agreed to defer several agenda items—specifically the Jinx Creek inlet study update and the Palm Cove Jinx Creek dredging update—until a future meeting when participating subcommittee leads were present. "We may want to add an item to the next meeting to review the subcommittee makeup and possibly look at reorganizing because I believe with John Frell's retirement that changes that subcommittee significantly," Trent said.
The committee confirmed its next meeting will be on Wednesday, June 18 at 10:00 a.m. and adjourned after a closing motion that was seconded and approved by voice vote.
