The Pepper Pike City Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2024-33 on Sept. 18, formally accepting the real-estate tax rate figures required by the budget commission.
Mr Brzinsky explained the resolution as a routine, annual housekeeping matter: "these are the rates that we currently have; they're basically asking do we want to receive that money and that amount of money," and noted there were no redline changes to the document. Council had no substantive questions and approved the resolution by roll call.
The resolution was presented as a procedural item to confirm the city's position for the budget commission and does not change current rates or levy new ones.
The council's approval was reflected by a unanimous roll-call vote among members present.
