The Fall River Redevelopment Authority voted to approve a change order adding $94,778.42 to the contract with Seller Landscape and Construction LLC for additional stone revetment work at Northfield Point.
Staff said the change order reflects work required by existing elevation and grade conditions along the north side of the spit; with the change order the total contract value was discussed as part of the final phase budget. Board members reviewed the funding breakdown: the transcript records $125,000 covered by an earmark and $29,754 from a prior C4 grant; staff said the authority’s remaining out-of-pocket match for this phase is about $451,304. Members confirmed the authority has sufficient funds in its development account and authorized the chair or executive director to sign Amendment No.1.
Staff also updated the board on the FY26 Seaport Economic Council grant: the executed grant agreement arrived that day and the schedule for bidding is likely to open in May–June, with construction starting in late June or July and completion pushed into the fall to accommodate plantings and final landscaping.
The board recorded unanimous votes in favor of the change order and asked staff to provide account balance details and audit references so members can monitor available funds.
