James City County on May 20 granted a right-of-way over property at 8429 Pocahontas Trail to Dominion Energy to facilitate upgrades to natural gas infrastructure connected with the Grove convenience center site.
Assistant county attorney Andrew Dean explained the requested conveyance, said the right of way was within an existing Dominion Energy pole-line easement, and pointed to a map attached to the staff memo identifying the easement location. Staff recommended approval and offered to answer questions.
The board opened and closed the public hearing with no public cards, then adopted the conveyance by roll-call vote.
The deeded right of way will allow Dominion Energy to proceed with infrastructure work at the noted address; county staff will finalize the conveyance documents and record the agreement.
