Onslow County approves $2.1 million settlement to acquire property for airport runway expansion

Commissioners praised the county attorney’s negotiation work and noted the acquisition will allow the airport to expand where land is limited. Selms said the settlement terms were included in the meeting packet. The presentation did not include a line-item funding breakdown in the public record; the board accepted the settlement and instructed staff to record the action in meeting minutes.
