Summary

City planning staff told the Davenport City Plan and Zone Commission that the consultant working on the West Davenport land use and infrastructure study will be in Davenport on March 17 to present concept plans to council and then to the commission.
Staff member Laura said the formal concept plans will not be included in the packet in advance but will be shown during the meeting; commissioners will be asked for feedback. Because the presentation may attract additional attendees, staff said the city might change the meeting venue to a larger community room to accommodate the expected turnout.
Laura framed the session as an opportunity for commissioners to give feedback on draft concepts rather than to take immediate action: “They are presenting to council at the management update right before this and then they’re going to present to the plan and zone commission,” she said. The commission listed the consultant presentation and, if submitted, Mr. Fenley’s final plat among future business items.
Next steps: The consultant will present draft concepts at the March 17 meeting; staff will circulate materials after the meeting and commission feedback will guide subsequent refinements.
