Warren City honors Batty Middle School 8th‑grade boys for undefeated season

Coach Steve Newfer spoke to council members and parents in attendance, calling the group "one of the most talented groups that I've ever coached" and praising their teamwork across the season. The council presented certificates to the coach and individual players and invited the team for a group photo. The mayor and council congratulated the players and encouraged residents to attend upcoming games.
The recognition was ceremonial; council moved on to the regular business agenda after the presentation.
