"We will have control over the messaging," she said, adding the county would also receive b-roll footage for local use.
Treasurer Amy said the county has funds available to cover the county's portion from recently matured certificates of deposit and that KCDC had $10,000 in its marketing budget. Several magistrates requested written commitments from the city and KCDC before finalizing expenditures; the court approved the county's participation "pending the city's authorization to go in with us."
The court asked staff to secure a formal agreement outlining funding shares and to reserve county authority over final messaging review before any segment airs.
