Lubert also said that if insurance does not cover the replacement, the purchase will be treated as a capital expense. Board members discussed volunteer options for installation and local partners; a community member later offered to coordinate volunteer help through the borough’s park board.
On contracts and agreements, Superintendent Dr. English presented the AIU program-of-services budget for 2026–27, which he said totals $2,431,488; Riverview’s estimated share is $22,925, a slight increase from the prior year. He said the district will finalize its withholding allocation after the state determines district aid ratios and weighted average daily membership following July 1.
What was decided: The board heard the motions; administrative staff said they will bring final motions and contract documents to the next (voting) meeting once vendor and insurance details are resolved. No final purchase vote was recorded at this meeting.
