The board’s acceptance of the certified results and the officer appointments were presented as routine business during the reorganizational portion of the meeting; no vote tallies or motions were read into the update. The presenter said the reorganized board will continue work on the district’s priorities and norms, including a stated practice that board members avoid involvement in matters likely to come before them for vote, such as student-discipline and personnel issues.
The district said it will present an intergovernmental water agreement approved by the board to the Reeds Spring city council for final action and indicated continued partnership talks with neighboring municipalities.
