On the fireworks budgeting, the mayor described fundraising needs and a contract addendum for an enhanced display. Council members expressed support for the event but emphasized they needed clarity on precise appropriations and whether additional council action would be required.
No formal council appropriation or vote to contribute city funds to the county committee was recorded at the meeting. Council indicated they would continue to coordinate and that staff would follow up on procedural and budgetary steps if council wished to formalize a contribution.
