Administration noted the city previously approved participation and smaller contributions in the program’s first year, citing $1,860 of general-fund support and $6,890 of CDBG funds in the record. Staff also reported that 140 Mount Clemens youth participated in year one. Commissioners asked how the funds are distributed; staff confirmed the city sends a check to the nonprofit, which handles fiduciary responsibilities and distribution among program partners.
The motion to participate and authorize funding passed on a unanimous roll-call vote.
