County clerk outlines juror-parking pilot to boost Mount Clemens downtown

He said jurors typically arrive as a fresh audience and that free parking gives them the chance to visit downtown shops and restaurants while they are in town.
Ferini said the clerk's office will assign a specific number to each day and share the number with city administration to avoid fraud. He urged commissioners to view the pilot as an opportunity to showcase Mount Clemens to jurors who might then patronize local businesses.
The mayor and commissioners expressed support and asked that the downtown retailers provide feedback while the pilot is in operation. No additional formal action beyond the update was recorded.
The commission will review results after the pilot to determine whether any adjustments are needed.
