Mount Clemens honors former commissioners Glenn Vorhees and Rashida Hammond

The proclamation for Glenn Vorhees noted his lifelong residency in Mount Clemens, prior roles including City Commissioner, Retirement Board member, School Board trustee and city finance director, and a 25-year banking career in the community. Vorhees was thanked for his professionalism and ongoing participation on the Retirement Board.
The proclamation for Rashida Hammond recognized her four-year term on the City Commission, her prior work as a teacher and current role in county Head Start administration, and her continued service as a commissioner for the Mount Clemens Housing Commission. Both proclamations were met with applause.
Mayor Crop and commissioners expressed appreciation for the departing commissioners' years of service and noted that both will continue to contribute to the community in volunteer roles.
