Regarding community school coordinator positions, staff said eight positions were recommended in total: three schools would use carryover Title I funds to cover part of those salaries while the district would fund the remaining five positions outside of the grant. Staff indicated they had submitted recommendations to SCSC for approval and had completed interviews for the roles.
Board members asked for clarity on timing and funding sources for community-school placements; staff said notifications are pending SCSC approval and confirmed interviews were completed. The board approved the personnel slate and set a follow-up to review drafted superintendent goals at the next meeting.
