The Utility Committee on April 28, 2026, unanimously recommended that the Common Council award two sewer-related contracts to Visu-Sewer, LLC, totaling $655,961.60.
Alderman Harenda called the meeting to order at 4:49 p.m. The committee first moved to approve the March 24, 2026 meeting minutes; Alderperson Kroupa made the motion and Alderperson Hopkins seconded. The motion passed, 4-0.
On agenda item UT 11-26, the committee recommended awarding the construction contract for the 2026 Private Property I/I Dye Water Testing Project to the lowest responsive bidder, Visu-Sewer, LLC, in the amount of $167,807.20. Alderperson Hopkins moved the recommendation and Commissioner Anderson seconded; the motion passed, 4-0.
The committee then considered UT 12-26 and recommended awarding the maintenance contract for the Sanitary Sewer Lining Project to Visu-Sewer, LLC for $488,154.40. Alderperson Kroupa moved and Alderperson Hopkins seconded; that motion also passed, 4-0.
With no items under old business or updates, the committee approved a motion to adjourn at 4:53 p.m.; Alderperson Kroupa moved, Alderperson Hopkins seconded, and the motion passed 4-0. Minutes were filed by Norgie Metzinger, Administrative Specialist.
The committee's recommendations will be forwarded to the Common Council for final action; the minutes record only the committee recommendation and vote, not the Common Council's final decision.
