Staff noted the awarded funds are programmed for 2027 but that engineering draws may begin after October 2026.
The commission also approved the SR-30 bypass/ lake-bypass project (PIN 21843), a larger project estimated at $2.6 million. County staff said the county's maximum match on that project would be about $1,097,000, and that match funding would come mainly from mineral lease revenues and project preparation allocations.
Both motions passed unanimously. Commissioners asked staff to continue outreach to affected landowners on alignments and to coordinate bid timing; staff said they hoped to advertise the SR-30 project for bids within roughly 30 days, subject to final preparation.
What happens next: staff will sign the agreements, coordinate any required landowner outreach and prepare bid documents; engineering expenditures may begin after the stated draw start in late 2026.
