Board approves amended agenda 3–2 after rejecting most removal motions; item 4A and action item 15 removed

The governing board of education convened at 4 p.m. on March 10 and spent the opening portion of its meeting considering several motions to remove items from the posted agenda. After a series of motion-and-roll-call votes, the board approved the meeting agenda as amended by a 3–2 vote.
Board members debated multiple proposed removals. A motion to remove items 14A and 14C failed after a roll call (Miss Wesman — no; Dr. Anderson — no; Mr. Barham — yes; Mr. Schwarz — yes; Dr. Joseph Kamaroski — no), leaving those items on the agenda. A subsequent motion to remove items 14I and 14G likewise failed by roll call.
The board voted unanimously to remove agenda item 4A (described in the meeting as an attorney policy matter); the roll call returned five yes votes and the chair announced: “That item is removed. 4A.”
A later motion to remove items 14B and 14H did not pass. Separately, board members raised concern about action item 15, which was described during debate as involving a student matter with potential legal implications. Citing discomfort discussing the matter in open session, a board member moved to remove the item from the agenda and asked that the district attorney review appropriate handling. The motion passed by roll call and item 15 was removed for further legal review.
After resolving the item-specific motions, the board took a final vote to approve the agenda as amended. The clerk called the roll and the chair announced the agenda was approved 3–2.
Before adjourning the public portion of the meeting, the board announced it would move into closed session to consider items listed in section E under Government Code section 54957.7.
