Arnold Elementary students stage debate on phones; trustees applaud public‑speaking skills

The program emphasizes critical thinking, public speaking and citation of evidence; staff said the club grew from classroom work and will continue as an after‑school offering.
Trustees praised the students' performance and congratulated the principal, teachers and families. Certificates were handed out and trustees posed for photos. The presentation was part of a larger evening that also included district business and a budget study session.
