The chair led the discussion and said staff prefer scheduling second meetings only when necessary to avoid extra packet preparation work.
Council members noted tradeoffs: two meetings would require more packet preparation and staff time, while one longer meeting can run late but consolidates work. One suggestion was to reserve a second monthly meeting for work sessions and interviews, rather than routine agenda items.
The council did not adopt a formal change to its meeting schedule during this session. Members agreed informally to continue with the monthly meeting cadence and to schedule additional meetings when matters were time-sensitive or required additional discussion. The next regular meeting was set for May 11.
