The Olive Branch Planning Commission approved a final plat revision that combines Lots 2 and 3 of the Mineral Wells Commercial subdivision into a single Lot 2A of about 1.07 acres. Staff said the parcel at 7067 Highway 178 contains a vacant approximately 2,000-square-foot building and that the applicant intends to renovate it for use by Red River Express Inc., a company that provides contract logistics for FedEx.
City staff found the proposed lot complies with C2 highway commercial bulk regulations, noted front-yard setbacks and existing transportation access, and recommended approval with standard conditions including renaming the proposed lot to Lot 2A before presentation to the Board of Aldermen. Becky Spain said she represents Red River Express and offered to answer questions; none were asked. Commissioner Diane Singer moved to approve the plat subject to staff conditions; the motion was seconded and approved on a voice vote.
