The Olive Branch Planning Commission recommended approval of a rezoning to allow a nail salon at 6339 Goodman Road East. Staff said the property’s prior planned development approval was limited to seasonal fireworks use and that neighborhood commercial services are consistent with the Comprehensive Plan 2040 commercial-corridor designation.
The application was presented by city planning staff and the applicant’s architect, Susan Stout, said she was available to answer questions. No public comments were offered. Commissioner Singh moved to approve the rezoning subject to staff conditions; the motion was seconded by Commissioner Dion Jones and passed on a voice vote.
If the Board of Aldermen approves the rezoning, the developer will submit civil, landscaping and building plans for administrative review and permitting.
